There have been four witnessed meteorite falls in New Mexico. Both the Malaga ordinary chondrite and the Pasamonte eucrite fell in 1933, and the Aztec ordinary chondrite fell in 1938. The Portales Valley ordinary chondrite fell near Portales, in eastern New Mexico, in the early morning of June 13, 1998. Source
