NGC 443 (also IC 1653, MCG 5-4-5, UGC 796 and PGC 4512) is a magnitude +13.1 spiral galaxy located 220 million light-years away in the constellation Pisces.
The galaxy was discovered by German-Danish astronomer Heinrich Louis d'Arrest using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) f/17.5 refractor at the Copenhagen Observatory on the 8th October 1861.
