Launch of Gaofen-1 & Other Secondary Payloads on Chinese Long March 2D

The first Chinese launch of 2013 occurred today, April 26th 2013 at 04:13 UTC. A Long March 2D rocket successfully launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center with the high resolution remote sensing satellite Gaofen-1 onboard. The vehicle also carried three cubesats - NEE-01 Pegaso, Turksat-3USAT and CubeBug-1.

China successfully sends "Gaofen-1" into space

China successfully sent high-definition earth observation satellite "Gaofen-1" into space at 12:13 p.m. Beijing time on Friday, announced the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defence (SASTIND).
