The International Astronomical Union (IAU) has approved a new name for a valley feature on Mars.

Farah Vallis for a 76.37-km-wide Martian vallis located at -6.03°, 136.8°.
The feature was named after the Farah river (Persian Farah Rud) in Afghanistan.
