Porta, a meteorologist from the University of Michigan predicted a weather catastrophe caused by an exceptionally large sun spot combined with the electro-magnetic pull of the planets Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune. In 1919 meteorologist Albert Porta predicted that the world would end on December 17 because the conjunction of six planets would create a magnetic current that would pierce the sun, creating great explosions of flaming gas that would consume the Earth.
