Comet discovered through space search program founded by HSU prof

It's official: Comet Vorobjov has been discovered, the Minor Planet Center in Cambridge, Mass., confirmed.
The comet was detected recently by Tomas Vorobjov through the International Astronomical Search Collaboration (IASC) founded in 2006 by Patrick Miller, professor of mathematics in the Holland School of Sciences and Mathematics at Hardin-Simmons University.

MPEC 2012 - U40

Comet P/2012 T7 (VOROBJOV) was discovered by T. Vorobjov on the 15th October, 2012.
The preliminary orbital elements of the comet indicate a perihelion passage was on the 16th June, 2012 at a distance of approximately 3.78 AU from the Sun, and an orbital period of 13.6 years
