Isro successfully launches indigenous cryogenic engine-powered GSLV-D5

Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) on Sunday successfully launched GSLV-D5 rocket, which is powered by an indigenous cryogenic engine, from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.
Seventeen minutes after liftoff at 4.18pm, the rocket successfully injected GSAT-14 communication satellite into geosynchronous transfer orbit.

Countdown for GSLV rocket to begin on Jan 4

The countdown for the launch of India's heavy-duty rocket - the geosynchronous satellite launch vehicle (GSLV) - that would carry communication satellite GSAT-14 is set to begin on Jan 4 morning, said a space agency official on Thursday.
