MPEC 2012 - O36

Comet P/2012 O3 (MCNAUGHT) was discovered on the 23rd July, 2012, by R. H. McNaught (Siding Spring Survey).
The preliminary orbital elements of the comet indicate a perihelion passage on the 15th August, 2012, at a distance of 1.6 AU from the Sun, and an orbital period of 9.7 years.
