Russian astronaut record-breaker Padalka returns to Earth

Russian astronaut Gennady Padalka has returned to Earth with the record for having spent the most time in space.
The 57-year-old's latest mission lasted 168 days, bringing his total to 879 days in space over five trips.

Gennady Ivanovich Padalka (born June 21, 1958, in Krasnodar, Russia) is a Russian Air Force officer and an RSA cosmonaut. As of June 2010, Gennady ranks sixth for career time in space due to his time on both Mir and the International Space Station.
