MPEC 2012 - J49

Comet C/2012 J1 (Catalina) was discovered by A. R. Gibbs (Catalina Sky Survey) on the 13th May, 2012.
The preliminary orbital elements of the comet indicate a perihelion passage on the 13th September, 2012 at a distance of approximately 3.58 AU from the Sun.
