MONSTER METEOR ROCKS HOUSES IN VIRGINIA.

VANCOUVER, To-day -- A meteor flashed across the sky in Virginia on Thursday night, rocking the residences in half a dozen cities by the shock of its landing. It was found next morning near Blackstone. The meteor struck a grove of oak trees, causing a depression in the earth more than five hundred square feet in area. Several trees were buried in the immense hole. The meteor is apparently composed of some metallic substance.

On the night of May 11, 1922, at 11h 15m EST, a great fireball or meteor appeared over North Carolina, and travelling northward, burst over Amelia County, Virginia.
