Comet C/2012 F1 (GIBBS) was discovered on the 16th March, 2012, by A. Gibbs (Catalina Sky Survey).The orbital elements of the comet indicate a perihelion passage was on the 21st February, 2012, at a distance of 2.56 AU from the Sun.
