Comet C/2012 E3 (PANSTARRS) was discovered on the 14th March, 2012, by the Pan-STARRS 1 telescope.
The orbital elements of the comet indicate a perihelion passage was on the 1st May, 2011, at a distance of 3.68 AU from the Sun.
