Marvel -- the Martian airborne research vehicle is a student project carried out in Kiruna, Sweden. The project is hosted by the division of space technology at Luleå University of technology. The objective of this project is to design, build and test a prototype of an un-manned aerial vehicle, UAV, suitable for thin atmospheres and low temperatures similar to the atmosphere of Mars. Project Marvel's test flight was conducted at approximately 5 km height, the UAV was lifted to these altitudes using a stratospheric balloon.
