'Santa Claus' fireball over Europe was from Russia

A mysterious flying object which confused Europe on Christmas Eve turned out to be a piece of a Russian rocket. The explanation came in time: the bunch of "shooting stars" has already made people wonder whether it was an alien spaceship.

The mysterious fireball observed above Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and France on Christmas Eve was the re-entry of the third stage of a Soyuz rocket that transported three astronauts to space, the Royal Observatory of Belgium said on Sunday.

The "UFO's Eve" was one of the Soyuz Rocket Debris

There was no more UFOs than Santa Claus in the European skies, last Saturday. This is the Royal Observatory of Belgium, which ended the suspense surrounding the appearance of a luminous trail in the air on Christmas Eve.
