Confirmed: A magnitude 15.5 Type IIb supernova was discovered on the 12th November, 2011, by S. Parker. The supernova is located 20" west and 41" north from the center of the galaxy.

A possible magnitude 15.5 supernova was discovered on the 12th November, 2011, in the spiral galaxy PGC 070094 (IC 5267) in the constellation Grus, by S Parker. The supernova is located 20" west and 41" north from the center of the galaxy. As yet the type is unknown.
