Roaney Giles said he stepped out onto his back porch at 7 a.m. Sunday in Southwest Austin and got a surprise when he glanced up into the sky.

"I saw a huge, white fireball come streaking from the west to the east, and then 10 to 15 seconds later, I was looking at a smoke trail" - Roaney Giles.
