Mariaville 42°43' N, 99°23' W

Rock County, Nebraska, USA
Fall 1898,
Octahedrite, possibly Synonym(s): Rock County
Approx. recovered weight: 340 g

A mass of 340g is said to have fallen after the appearance of light and detonations, E.H. Barbour (1903). However H.H. Nininger (1937)considers that this was a find, not a witnessed fall. Repository of mass not known.

The Mariaville (Iron) meteorite fell in Nebraska, USA, on the 16th October, 1898.
A total mass of 340 g was recovered.
