After the appearance of a fireball, and detonations, a shower of stones, of which about ten were found, fell over an area of 7 x 1 miles; the total weight was about 80kg and the largest stone weighed 38kg, E. Doll (1877); S.M. Losanitsch (1878); C. Klein (1879).

On the afternoon of October 13, 1877, a bright daytime fireball and several explosions was witnessed near Aleksinac in Serbia (Yugoslavia). A shower of stony meteorites fell over a wide area. The analysis showed this meteorite to be an LL4 chondrite. The majority of this meteorite sits in museum collections.

The Soko-Banja (LL4) meteorite fell in Serbia, Serbia and Montenegro, on the 13th October, 1877.
A total mass of 80 kg was recovered.

43° 40'N, 21° 52'E
