MPEC 2011 - R24

Comet P/2011 R2 (PANSTARRS) was discovered on the 4th September, 2011, by the Pan-STARRS 1 telescope.
The preliminary orbital elements of the comet indicate a perihelion passage on the 19th November, 2011, at a distance of 2.0 AU from the Sun, and an orbital period of 6.2 years.
