The Appley Bridge (LL6) meteorite fell in England, UK, on the 13th October, 1914.
A total mass of 15 kg was recovered.

A tiny fragment of space rock which crashed to Earth near Wigan is up for sale as part of an extraordinary collection of meteorites.
The rare 'amphoterite' hit Appley Bridge at around 150mph on October 13, 1914 - just ten weeks after the start of the First World War.
Now a tiny fragment, found the following day at Halliwell Farm, is expected to fetch £250 at auction today.
