Update:

The supernova was very probably the asteroid (130) Elektra, which passed through the field at the time of the observation.

A possible magnitude 13.3 supernova was discovered by B. Monard on the 10th August, 2011, in the edge-on spiral galaxy NGC 4216 in the constellation Virgo.
The supernova is located 14" east and 5" north from the center of the galaxy.
As yet the type is unknown.

Position (2000):     RA 12 15 55.42  |  Dec +13° 09' 00.4"
z = 0.000437
