Comet P/2011 P2 (PANSTARRS) was discovered on the 22nd June, 2011, by the Pan-STARRS 1 telescope.
The preliminary orbital elements of the comet indicate a perihelion passage on the 18th September, 2010, at a distance of 6.16 AU from the Sun, and a period of 30.37 years.
