Possible supernova in NGC 782

A possible magnitude 15.1 supernova was discovered  on the 9th July, 2011, by B. Monard in the spiral galaxy NGC 782 in the constellation Eridanus.
The supernova is located 29" west and 34" south from the center of the galaxy.
As yet the type is unknown.

Position (2000):     RA 01 57 36.58 |  Dec -57°48'00.8"
z = 0.020340
