Jodrell Bank Live is where music meets science under the shadow of the Lovell Telescope, the third largest steerable radio telescope in the world. On July 2nd 2011 Transmission 001 launched the first of many events at the Scientific site. A day of talks and exploration of pulsars via the satellite was followed by cosmic satge shows by THE FLAMING LIPS, BRITISH SEA POWER & OKGO. Live From Jodrell Bank Transmission 001 - The birth of a truly out of this world festival experience. For over fifty years, Jodrell Bank's Lovell Telescope has dominated the Cheshire plains.
