The International Astronomical Union (IAU) has approved new names for three features on Mars.Lipany for a 50-km-wide Martian crater located at -0.24°S, 79.69°W.The feature was named in honour of a town in Slovakia.Oenotria Plana for a 925-km-wide Martian plain located at -8°S, 76°E.The feature was named in honour of a classical albedo feature name.Zarqa Valles for a 490-km-wide Martian valley located at 0.16°N, 80.82°W.The feature was named in honour of a river in Jordan.The name of the feature Oenotria Scopulus has also been changed to Oenotria Scopuli, the plural form, to include several scarps.
