Thousands of people, including many amateur astronomers, packed the Eugene Levy Field House at Rockland Community College.
The Rockland Astronomy Club has put on the Northeast Astronomy Forum for the past 20 years. Organizers said it's the biggest such show in the country, attracting every major manufacturer in the field, world-class speakers and visitors from across the United States, Europe and Japan.
Along with the more than 140 vendors, the show features lectures and classes for beginners and the most advanced astronomers.
