Burma earthquake

A strong earthquake has rocked central Burma, with at least 12 people feared dead and dozens more injured.
The 6.8-magnitude quake struck some 120km north of the second-largest city of Mandalay, at a depth of 10km, the US Geological Survey said.

A moderate magnitude 5.9 earthquake occurred at 03:15:43 (UTC) on Monday, November 21, 2011, in the Myanmar region, 130 km East of Imphal, at a depth of 121 km.

Location    24.947°N, 95.226°E

An earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale rocked India's northeast, Myanmar and Bangladesh on Monday, triggering panic among people.
The tremor was felt at 8.47am in most parts of Assam, Nagaland, and Manipur, besides in Bangladesh and Myanmar.

North-east Burma hit by two 7.0 magnitude earthquakes

North-east Burma has been rocked by two 7.0 magnitude earthquakes, close to the borders with Laos and Thailand, the US Geological Survey has reported.
They struck seconds apart at 1355 GMT and were centred about 110 km from the northern Thai city of Chiang Rai, the agency said.
