The magnitude 9.4 comet C/2011 F1 (LINEAR) will pass 1.3° from the mag 11.8 galaxy NGC 7166 in the constellation Grus, at 02:00 UT, 13th March, 2013.

The magnitude 9.3 comet C/2011 F1 (LINEAR) will pass 1.36° from the mag 12.6 galaxy NGC 7057 in the constellation Microscopium, at 04:00 UT, 3rd March, 2013.

The magnitude 9.2 comet C/2011 F1 (LINEAR) will pass 0.44° from the mag 11.5 galaxy IC 5105 in the constellation Microscopium, at 13:00 UT, 2nd March, 2013.

MPEC 2011 - F15

Comet C/2011 F1 (LINEAR) was discovered on the 17th March 2011,  by the LINEAR survey.
The orbital elements of the comet indicate a perihelion passage on the 21st January, 2013, at a distance of 1.62 AU from the Sun.
