The Head of Iranian Space Agency (ISA) Hamid Fazeli said the country is likely to launch "Explorer 4" with bio life capsule into space by mid September.

Iran sends rocket into space

Iran has launched a new Kavoshgar-4 rocket and space capsule designed to carry a monkey into orbit in another sign of Iran's strengthening military capabilities, which include the production of an anti-ship ballistic missile.
The rocket and space capsule were launched last Tuesday, Iran's state-run news agency reported. The launch is an important milestone along the path of Iran's emerging space programme.

Iran sends first 'life capsule' into orbit
Iran says it has sent the country's first space capsule that is able to sustain life into orbit as a test for a future mission that may carry a live animal
The state IRNA news agency says the capsule was carried by a rocket dubbed Kavoshgar-4 - or Explorer-4 in Farsi - some 120 kilometres into orbit.
