Ed ~ Need to update the asteroid database in the old version 2.76 ?

In the Cartes du Ciel folder is a file called EXTRES.INI
This file contains the addresses where the program searches for files to update your data.

Open EXTRES.INI with Notepad and look for the section CBAT_comets and replace the lines with the following URL and INFO:
url=http://www.minorplanetcenter.org/iau/Ephemerides/Comets/Soft06Cmt.txt
info=http://www.minorplanetcenter.org/iau/Ephemerides/EphemOrbEls.html

The next section is the place where the lines CBAT_asteroids URL URL2 and INFO with the following:
url=http://www.minorplanetcenter.org/iau/Ephemerides/Bright/$$$$/Soft06Bright.txt
url2=http://www.minorplanetcenter.org/iau/Ephemerides/Unusual/Soft06Unusual.txt
info=http://www.minorplanetcenter.org/iau/Ephemerides/EphemOrbEls.html

Save the file as  EXTRES.INI
