Comet P/2010 W1 (Gibbs) was discovered by  A. Gibbs (Catalina Sky Survey) on the 27th November, 2010.

The preliminary orbital elements of the comet indicate a perihelion passage on the 8th February, 2011, at a distance of approximately 2.15 AU from the Sun, and a 14.59 year orbital period.
