CSIRO to shed research roles

Up to 40 science jobs will be slashed in the ACT and Brisbane to meet funding cuts to CSIRO environmental science programs and the Tidbinbilla Deep Space tracking station.
The CSIROs new ecosystem sciences division has been forced to shed 30 jobs to absorb a 10 per cent budget cut imposed by the national science agencys executive management in CSIROs annual budget.
