Confirmed:
A magnitude 16.7 Type Ia supernova, 2010iu, was discovered by The CHilean Automatic Supernova sEarch (CHASE) on the 7th October, 2010, near the galaxy NGC 212 in the constellation Phoenix.

Position (2000): RA  00 40 02.48, Dec    -56°09'29.9"

A possible magnitude 16.7 supernova was discovered by The CHilean Automatic Supernova sEarch (CHASE) on the 7th October, 2010, near the galaxy NGC 212 in the constellation Phoenix.
As yet they type is unknown.

Position (2000): RA  00 40 02.48, Dec    -56°09'29.9"
