Toowoomba astronomer Hans Kennedy has worked for 12 years to donate a telescope to University of Southern Queensland and the Toowoomba community.
At every turn he has found obstacles in his path and his $250,000 telecope sat rusting away slowly in storage in Coonabarabran.
