Utah stargazers could get a rare sight Saturday - a partial lunar eclipse.
Scientist Patrick Wiggins says the view in the early morning hours Saturday will depend on the weather. But if it's clear, people willing to get up by 4 a.m. will be able to see the moon passing through the earth's shadow.

Australians watching the sky later this month will be treated to a partial lunar eclipse when the shadow of the Earth partially obscures the Moon.
Although the Moon won't be copper-coloured like the last total lunar eclipse in August 2007, there will be a substantial darkening of more than 50 per cent of the Moon.

On Saturday, June 26, Australia will be treated to a partial eclipse of the moon when just over half of the moon goes into the earth's inner shadow.
Astronomer David Reneke said because it wasn't a total eclipse, we won't see the moon go copper coloured, but there would be substantial darkening of part of the moon.

New Zealanders will get an opportunity to observe a partial lunar eclipse in later this month.
The June 26 eclipse, where up to 50 percent of the Moon will be obscured by the shadow of the Earth, takes place between 10.30pm and 12.30am, with mid eclipse occurring at 11.38pm.

Best viewing of the eclipse takes place between 10:30pm and 12:30am, with mid eclipse occurring at 11:38pm. The Moon will be partially obscured by the shadow of the Earth, as our home planet passes between the Sun and the Moon.

The eclipse of 2010 which will occur on June 26, will be visible in the Philippines as a partial lunar eclipse. The eclipse magnitude will be 54.2 percent and will also be visible primarily in some parts of America, Pacific Ocean, Antarctica, eastern Asia, and Australasia. The eclipse will begin at 4:55 PM Philippine Standard Time (PST) and will end at 10:21 PM (PST).
In Manila, the moon will rise at 6:28 P.M. on 26 June 2010 and will set at 5:04 A.M. on 27 June 2010. The major phases of the eclipse are as follows:

Don't miss the lunar eclipse

On Saturday, June 26, at 8.30pm, the full moon will slip into the shadow of the earth causing a partial lunar eclipse to occur.
While the eclipse will be visible along the eastern seaboard of the country, Darling Downs and South Burnett observers will get a grand showing.
The event starts at 8.30pm and by 9.30pm the moon will appear a half "rusty" colour.
