If you have been getting up very early you may have started to notice Mars is high in the southeast in the early hours before dawn. Yesterday Mars had passed into its “western quadrature."
Quadrature, is when two celestial objects (the Sun and Mars) form a 90 degree angle as viewed from here (Earth); and “western" because it happened in the West (hehe)
The planet is currently in the rather indistinct constellation of Pisces.
