The Chi Capricornids are a daylight meteor shower. The shower has a broad active range between January 29 and February 28 with a peak during the day time hours around the 13th February. The chi Capricornid radiant is located 17°SW of the Sun in southern Capricornus, (Peak radiant is at =314.3°, =-23.7°). The possible parent body of the stream is the periodic comet 45P/Honda-Mrkos-Pajdusakova. The meteors have a medium velocity of around 26.8 km/s.
