During our cold January nights, the transparent and crystal clear windows to our Wyoming skies may last up to 15 hours, so our viewing is spectacular.
The Milky Way runs from the southeast horizon, through the zenith directly overhead to the northwest. Parallel to the Milky Way are the constellations Canis Major, with its brilliant star Sirius at the southeast and Orion and its bright red supergiant Betelgeuse.
