The Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) has published a detailed 3D image of Mars captured by its robotic probe Mangalyaan. The image which was shot by Mangalyaan in late July is of the Ophir Chasma, a canyon in Mars, Isro said. Read more

It's been just 12 hours since India's first interplanetary mission, the Mars orbiter, entered the red planet's orbit successfully and it is already hard at work. The Mangalyaan has sent back five photographs of Mars. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) confirmed that their ground station had received the first set of data from the craft. Read more
