New satellites could improve Arctic communications
The Canadian Space Agency is studying the possibility of launching two new satellites into orbit that could improve weather information, telecommunications and internet access in the North.
The CSA is conducting a concept study into the idea. If it's approved, the federal agency hopes to launch the two satellites in about seven years.
