A weakening tropical storm Molave whirled into southern China today, drenching the region with heavy rains after leaving at least five people dead in the Philippines.
The storm began to weaken as it hit land in the boomtown of Shenzhen, across the border from Hong Kong, early Sunday. Molave's wind speeds ranged from 41 kph to 62 kph.
