A senior Russian official said that despite interest from the Iranian government, his country has no current plans to help Tehran launch another satellite. While Irans government has been trying to flex its military muscle by announcing an aerial exercise in the midst of a domestic crackdown, Russia apparently isn't playing along, at least on Iran's space ambitions. Anatoly Perminov, head of the Russian Federal Space Agency, said Russia isn't anywhere near an agreement to help Iran launch a new satellite.
