Extra-solar planets are the theme of StarConn, an all-day convention and astronomy celebration Saturday at Wesleyan's Exley Science Centre. The event is an outreach effort presented by the Astronomical Society of Greater Hartford with the help of the university. For years, it was an annual event, but that ceased in 2006. Members of the society wanted to bring it back this year to coincide with the International Year of Astronomy, which is expected to involve 140 countries. This is also the first time StarConn has had a unifying theme.
