Supernova 2009fu

Confirmed:

A magnitude 15.7 supernova, 2009fu, was discovered by K. Itagaki on the 1st June, 2009, in the galaxy NGC 846.
The supernova is located 36" west and 11" south from the center of  the galaxy.
As yet the type is unknown.

Position (2000): RA = 02h12m09s.00, Dec = +44°33'55".0

A possible magnitude 15.7  supernova was discovered on the 1st June, 2009, in the barred spiral galaxy NGC846 in the constellation Andromeda.
The supernova is located 36" West and 11" South from the center of the galaxy.
The last recorded supernova in the galaxy was  SN 2003ja.

Position (2000): RA  02 12 09.00, Dec  +44 33 55.0
z = 0.017220
