On the 21st April, 2009, farmers workers working in fields in Gyeongsang Province of South Korea spotted what they thought was a helicopter falling from the sky. The witnesses observed flames and smoke coming from the impact site.
Police and emergency services with rescue helicopters began a  search of the area but failed to find any wreckage.
As no wreckage was located South Korean authorities think that the object seen by the farm workers was a small meteor.
