 Historic Kirkwood Observatory renews weekly stargazing open houses
 
Indiana University's historic Kirkwood Observatory begins its annual season of free stargazing open houses for the public on Wednesday, March 21, with a "rain or shine" evening of night sky viewing, infrared camera demonstrations and some hands-on time with meteorites.

Storm knocks down numerous trees on IU campus

No major damage was immediately reported on campus, although one tree fell onto a parked car and another landed on a portion of the school's 110-year-old Kirkwood Observatory.
