China has launched a remote-sensing satellite, the "Yaogan Six," from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Centre in Shanxi Province. The satellite was launched on a Long March 2C carrier rocket at 10:55 on Wednesday morning. It will be mainly used to survey land resources and the environment, urban planning, crop yields and disasters, and for space science experiments.
China is to launch the Yaogan VI remote-sensing satellite atop a Long March 2C launch vehicle from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in north Shanxi Province on the 22nd April, 2009.
