No reports as yet.

But, there was a magnitude -10 fireball reported at 02:57 (local time) over southern Alberta on the 21st. Heading West to South.

There are no officially recognised meteor shower streams that the Earth passes through at this time of year, so the current batch of fireballs seen recently are probably sporadic meteors.

(Correction: See Delta-Cancrid meteors)

(Ed ~i assume your location was the Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, Alberta, Canada)

My kids and I were heading up the chair lift at C.O.P. last evening around 7:45 pm Jan 20th/09 facing SW and saw what apeared to be a meteorite (fire ball) heading south through the sky. Did any one else see this?
