I saw this from Sierra Vista, AZ.  It traveled from East to West and was very bright in the evening light.  The head had a distinct blue color.  The contrail appeared to have the 'donut on a rope' appearance.

A large magnitude -13 fireball was observed by many witnesses over southern California, western Nevada, and western Arizona at 01:33 UT, January 19, (5:33pm PST January 18).

A meteor was witnessed on  Sunday evening at sunset.

My friend said she saw what she thought was a bottle rocket or home-made firework in the eastern sky.
